My Side of The Mountain: Ch.12

In this chapter Sam Gribley finds a raccoon who is a good digger. The raccoon's name is Jessie Coon James. Jessie digs out mussels. When they found him he was a skinny ( probably orphaned raccoon) raccoon, but when they took him in he became fat and looked like any other raccoon now.
After that Sam finds a man in the forest and thought he was an out law or a bandit, but he was a college teacher. Sam calls him Bando and Bando calls Sam, Thoreau. Bando was out for a hike and suddenly he was lost, so he saw a fire and thought it was a scout club that was there. He slept until the scoutmaster came, but it was Sam's fire. So he met Sam instead of a scoutmaster. They soon became good friends and Bando was good at making stuff. He helped Sam make a raft so sam could go to bigger water and catch bigger fish. Bando also made blueberry jam and a couple of pottery jars for jam. On September third Bando leaves and says "See you on Christmas."
That's it.
