My Side Of The Mountain: Ch.14

Sam was racing/competing against the squirrels when he was gathering nuts. He would put Frightful on top or make her guard the tree Sam was getting nuts from. She would scare the squirrels and make them wait until Sam gets all the nuts from the tree. The next thing he did was getting apples. Sam prepared his apples by cutting them in slices and putting them on a boulder in front of the sun. Sam had a Halloween party and served cracked nuts, smoked rabbit, and crayfish. Sam found a ox bowl bow at the stream and there was wild rice inside of it. During the Halloween party the raccoons found his cache of nuts and threw them on the floor and all over his bed. Sam did four things to get rid of the guests. First he laced the door the door shut. The second thing he did was he threw wood and made a bigger fire. Next he shouted at them fiercely.  Then the fourth thing he did was snarling, hissing, growling, and he also snorted at them. The last animal to leave was a bat. Would you be scared that happened to you? Well anyways, Sam now knew that don't try to celebrate Halloween in the wilderness....... or else.
